Floorplay

Lincoln DJs Paul Phillips and Scott Van Driver started promoting Floorplay at Sugarcubes nightclub in 2001. The music policy was house and trance so when they decided to acquire another resident after the popularity of the first few weeks they asked Malcolm Paul, who had DJed with Scott at the Cheltenham Arms and other events at Sugarcubes for several years, to join them.

Despite a lack of funds Floorplay became one of the more successful dance music nights in Lincoln. Campbell Tyler and K-Yun, two of Malc's StoneFinger comrades, flew over from the United States to play at the club in September 2001.

Floorplay took over Sugarcubes twice a month for 15 months. Due to a combination of reasons the night ended in April 2002.

After a 3 year absence Malc is DJing again in Lincoln. See the StoneFinger Lincoln page for more info.

Fellow resident Paul Phillips was one third of JPS Projects who recorded Found An Angel, the bootleg mix of Paul Van Dyk's For An Angel.
